The Royal Cancun (formerly known as Club Internacional de Cancun) is a long-time favorite with guests who love its sheltered beachfront location, impeccably kept gardens and home away from home ambiance. Nestled on a soft, sugar-white sand beach on Cancun's north shore, the resort has breathtaking views of the bay and of Isla Mujeres. Palms and thatched palapas offer plenty of shade on the beach; the water is shallow and the surf gentle. Two freeform swimming pools with bridges, palm-covered islands, and a swim-up bar are set in the extensive gardens. Tennis courts, sailboats and an activities program keep adults and children entertained and there's even a rose garden for a quiet moment of reflection. Just a few steps from the sea, La Palapa restaurant is a Cancun classic, loved by all for its traditional thatched decor, casual ambiance and tasty menu.
“Our Luxurious and Relaxing Honeymoon”5 of 5 stars “We had the pleasure of honeymooning at The Royal for two weeks! From first checking into the hotel right up until checking out we were made to feel like honored guests by all members of staff. They simply could not do enough for you. We were awestruck by the beauty of the hotel and it's rooms; the images we'd seen online really didn't do it justice. Every area of the hotel is pristine and beautifully decorated. When we first arrived we wondered how we were ever going to leave the hotel during our honeymoon! Room service is 24/7 and very efficient. The 'magic box' system available throughout the hotel means that you don't have to open your door to receive room service. The fantastic poolside and lobby bar waitresses ensure that you don't need to leave your chair to get a drink. The beach butlers are on-hand as you sunbathe to clean you sunglasses and give you frozen grapes to refresh you palette. The meticulous two-part maid service ensures that your hotel room is spotlessly clean. They 'dress down' your room in preparation for your return, creating a romantic setting to end your evening. Quite simply, nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff. The evening entertainment was brilliant. A group of dancers/gymnasts entertained guests in the main lobby, which was furnished with comfy sofas and over-sized chairs. Each evening’s performance was based on a different theme. The shows incorporated a mixture of dance, gymnastics, aerobatics and fire-manipulation. We particularly enjoyed the beach party. Overall our stay was incredible, and we would love to go back! “
